This past Friday, we celebrated National Mole Day in Chemistry class, which is explained here:
"What is National Mole Day?". We all sewed moles, brought them in, and had a party. I spent several hours spread out over several days creating my mole. I cut out lots of colorful 2x2 inch squares, then sewed them all together to make patchwork fabric to make my mole out of.

After lots and lots of cutting, pinning, sewing, and stuffing, my mole was complete!!

This project was fun and I really loved seeing everyone's finished products and how creative they were. It also helped improve my sewing skills!
Carly, Thanks for sharing the website that explained what a mole is in the scientific world. I had also researched what a scientific mole was after I sewed my mole. However, my website did not mention that it was celebrated from 6:02 a.m. to 6:02 p.m. How funny! Next time, maybe include your own definition of what you think a mole is. If you defined it in your own words, it would make it easier for others our age to understand what it is. In addition, I was unfortunately unable to see your picture of your stuffed mole. I'm not sure if the picture did not work on your blog or if my computer did not load it. You may want to verify that the picture is visible to others.
ReplyDeleteI sadly wasn't able to see your mole pictures, but I do agree that mole day was fun, and I enjoyed looking at everyone's creations. Definitely had a good laugh here and there.
ReplyDeleteI'm disappointed that I can't see your pictures since your mole was so adorable- next time, you can click on the "preview" button before you post to ensure that your media is visible and your post is formatted in the way you want it.
